Two new promos for July 5’s Family Guy episode, “Peter’s Progress”

This Sunday, July 5, we’ll be getting “Peter’s Progress”, one of the better episodes from Family Guy Season 7. Here’s the synopsis:

Peter has his palm read by a psychic who reveals that he had a fascinating past life as Griffin Peterson, a dignified gentleman who vied for the love of Lady Redbush in 17th century England and in the newly founded American colony of Quahog. It was a time of great love and adventure where King Stewart reigned supreme, the smartest dog in the room was the court jester, army lieutenants were merely boys and even old England loved “How I Met Your Mother” (Jason Segel, Neil Patrick Harris and Josh Radnor guest-voice) in the “Peter’s Progress” episode of FAMILY GUY airing Sunday, July 5 (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Family Guy Season 1, Episode 6: The Son Also Draws

Family Guy Season 1, Episode 6 is titled “The Son Also Draws”, and is absolutely one of my favorite Family Guy episodes of all time. In this episode, we watch Peter take the family to New York to get Chris into the Youth Scouts after he is kicked out. Peter makes a pit stop at an Indian casino, Lois develops a gambling habit that costs her the family car, and Peter must go on a vision quest to prove his Native American blood and get it back.

Season 1, Episode 5: A Hero Sits Next Door

In Family Guy Season 1, Episode 5, “A Hero Sits Next Door”, we watch Peter get initially annoyed when Joe Swanson moves to Quahog, Rhode Island from Providence, Rhode Island and is forced to recruit him for his company’s softball team after Mr. Weed’s star pitcher is injured. This is Peter’s big chance to do what he does best – be incredibly inappropriate – and boy, does he ever, stating “Holy crip, he’s a crapple!” Peter decides he wants to be a hero like Joe and tries to stop a bank robbery, this of course does not work out for him and he and Brian get taken hostage – and Joe has to save them. Season 1, Episode 4: “Mind Over Murder”

In episode 4 of Family Guy Season 1, “Mind Over Murder”, we see Peter punch a pregnant woman he thought was a man during a soccer game and end up being placed under house arrest (to his credit, the lady really didn’t look pregnant OR like a woman). Looking for something to do, Peter builds a bar in his basement where Lois ends up stealing the spotlight singing torch songs in her underwear. During all this excitement, Stewie attempts to build a time machine to avoid the pain of teething, which actually is a pretty good idea. Here are a few clips from this episode:

Season 1, Episode 3: “Chitty Chitty Death Bang”

Absolutely one of the best Family Guy episodes, in my opinion. In “Chitty Chitty Death Bang”, Peter allows Meg to attend a friend’s party the same day as Stewie’s first birthday, which sends Lois into a tizzy. However, this “party” is actually a cult party, with Kool-Aid, robes, and blind devotion. The crazy cult leader misses his chance to achieve nirvana with the rest of the kids, and ends up getting his ass kicked by Stewie, who thinks he’s trying to put him back in the womb. Clips:

Season 1, Episode 2: I Never Met The Dead Man

In Season 1, Episode 2 “I Never Met The Dead Man”, we see Peter teaching Meg to drive. However, it goes wrong when Peter crashes into a satellite dish and knocks out the city’s cable. He begins to go crazy without TV, but finds a new life in outdoor activities, which drives the family crazy in turn. Meanwhile, Stewie plots to destroy the world’s broccoli (which is something I totally support). Here are a few excerpts:
