When Comic Book Guy casts Homer as the lead in “Everyman,” a feature film based on a new comic book superhero who possesses the ability to absorb the superpowers of every super hero in every comic he touches. To whip Homer into superhero shape, the movie studio hires celebrity fitness trainer Lyle McCarthy (guest voice Rogen), but Homer has trouble sticking to his new healthy regimen in the “Homer The Whopper” episode of THE SIMPSONS airing Sunday, Nov. 22 (7:30-8:00 PM ET/ PT) on FOX. Fed up with Bart’s constant pranks, Principal Skinner tells Bart that there is a former Springfield Elementary student hailed as the best prankster ever – even better than Bart – but he won’t divulge the legendary student’s name. Bart finally gets Groundskeeper Willie to reveal the prankster’s identity: Andy Hamilton (guest voice Jonah Hill). Bart tracks down Andy, who is now 19 years old and hasn’t grown out of his pranking days. Recap of The Cleveland Show “Ladies Night”

I actually sat down and watched The Cleveland Show as it came on last night; usually I just watch it on Hulu. Last night’s episode, “Ladies Night”, was actually pretty good. Highlights:

Donna getting her drink on with her single friends
Cleveland’s reactions to Donna coming home all tipsy
The campaign for Cleveland Jr. being basically a huge smear job
The bear speaks Italian? Who knew?
Cleveland and the guys puking their guts out to celebrate being single (didn’t work really well)

Overall a solid episode; I like how they’re developing the characters, they seem to be much more fleshed out than other Seth MacFarlane creations.

Here’s more from an EW interview with Marlee:

Were you aware of being mocked on previous Family Guy episodes?
Mocked isn’t the right word. I was just part of the joke. I learned a long time ago from when I did Seinfeld never to take anything seriously and to be part of the joke is the best way to show what a good sport I was.

Were you ever offended by those jokes, or did you always think they were funny?
I personally have dealt with any adversity in my life with humor. That’s why I told America to “Read my hips!” on Dancing With the Stars or was happy to play along with Jason Alexander and Jerry Seinfeld in the great restaurant scene on Seinfeld. I know a lot of deaf people might have been offended when they made fun of my voice but remember, it was MY voice they were making fun of. I was more than happy to show up and show them that I could dish it as well as I could take it and that being offensive works both ways.

What about this skit — offensive or funny? (Or both/neither?)
It was sick. It was twisted. It was rude. And it was very Family Guy. People love [MacFarlane's] stuff. They don’t pay him the big bucks for nothing and I was glad to be part of it. I want to do it again and BE the voice. BTW, it only would’ve been offensive if I hadn’t laughed and I loved that you couldn’t quite figure out if I was seriously angry at Alex or not!

As a very visible member of the hearing-impaired community, were you hesitant to be involved in a skit like this?
No. If I were, I wouldn’t have ever done Seinfeld, The Larry Sanders Show, Howie Mandel’s hidden camera show, My Name is Earl and this show. And it’s why I’m developing a very politically incorrect and very funny show for Showtime with Mario Cantone and Carol Leifer (who, BTW, wrote my episode for Seinfeld).

American Dad, “Man in the Moonbounce”:

Good. American Dad is getting better every week, while Family Guy, while better than last season’s dismal showing, is still sputtering. Here’s a clip:

Why, Meg has an evil monkey too!?!? Miley Cyrus robot was good, too. I couldn’t find any clips up, but I’ll post them as I get them

VERY good! No clips up for this one up as yet, but the whole Stewie interaction with his evil clone was priceless.

The Cleveland Show, “Cleveland Jr. Cherry Bomb”:

I didn’t catch this one, actually, but here’s a clip: Cleveland Junior’s Cherry Bomb. If you watched it, what did you think?

Overall, a pretty good night for Fox Animation and Seth MacFarlane.
