Here’s the latest information about the first Family Guy episode, titled “Something, Something, Something, Dark Side” of Family Guy Season 8:
- Air Date: Sunday September 27, 2009
- Production Code: 6ACX21/6ACX22
- Episode Summary: Peter makes good on another power outage at home–by entertaining his family with a retelling of Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. Newcomers to the story include Mort as Lando Calrissian, Chris’ boss Carl as Yoda, and the Giant Chicken as the nefarious Boba Fett.
- Director: Dominic Polcino
- Title: The title is a joke from Season Five’s Family Guy episode, ‘Barely Legal’, in which “the emperor figured out the formula for perfect Star Wars dialogue”, which was “Something, something, something Dark Side. Something, something, something, complete.”

Seth MacFarlane lands role in new ABC show “Flash Forward”

According to the NY Times, Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane has landed a dramatic role in a new ABC series titled “Flash Forward”, a series in which everyone in the world gets a two-minute glimpse of their futures. Seth is “FBI Agent #3″; this will be a recurring role. You can see him at about the 2:48 mark in the video below, he does have a speaking part.

Season 1, Episode 4: “Mind Over Murder”

In episode 4 of Family Guy Season 1, “Mind Over Murder”, we see Peter punch a pregnant woman he thought was a man during a soccer game and end up being placed under house arrest (to his credit, the lady really didn’t look pregnant OR like a woman). Looking for something to do, Peter builds a bar in his basement where Lois ends up stealing the spotlight singing torch songs in her underwear. During all this excitement, Stewie attempts to build a time machine to avoid the pain of teething, which actually is a pretty good idea. Here are a few clips from this episode:

When Luanne loses her main source of income, she turns to her aunt for career guidance. Peggy helps Luanne tap into her natural talent for entertaining children with puppets she bought for baby Gracie. After several successful performances at local fairs, Luanne is discovered by up-and-coming agent/manager John Redcorn. He decides to invest time and money into Luanne’s career, but Luanne soon realizes how fickle the children’s entertainment industry can be in the “Manger Baby Einstein” episode of KING OF THE HILL airing Sunday, June 7 (7:00-7:30 PM ET/PT) on FOX. American Dad:
After Steve buys a highly sophisticated fart machine, his girlfriend Debbie (guest voice Caplan) decides that she needs a man, not a boy, and agrees to join Snot’s friend Etan (guest voice Green) at his upcoming bar mitzvah. Feeding his hunger for revenge, Steve assembles a crack squad of professionals to ruin Etan’s Super Sweet 13. When things go terribly wrong, Snot finds that his own bar mitzvah dreams, as well as his manhood, are threatened. Bart is informed that he and a select group of students have received perfect scores on a practice test for the upcoming Vice President’s Assessment Test. As a result, he will be exempt from taking the real exam and will be transported by helicopter to a pizza party. Shocked at how Bart could have performed better than she did, Lisa freezes up when it comes time for her to take the exam. However, Bart and the others soon realize their trip is not what it seems, and their day turns into an adventure all its own. Meanwhile, when Homer is late on making an insurance payment, he must avoid bodily accidents at all costs until his insurance check is cashed, making for one very tense afternoon in the all-new “How the Test Was Won” episode of THE SIMPSONS airing Sunday, June 7 (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT) on FOX. King of the Hill:
When Hank tries to be realistic about Bobby’s below-average baseball abilities, he is vilified by Bobby’s over-enthusiastic Little League coach. Hank realizes the coach is trying to build Bobby’s self-confidence and help him become a better baseball player, so he turns to a team volunteer for some guidance on how to get back into good graces with the coach in the “Bad News Bill” episode of KING OF THE HILL airing Sunday, June 7 (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Family Guy Volume Seven available for pre-order at Amazon

Just noticed that Family Guy Volume 7 is available for pre-order at Amazon
. It will be released on June 16. Here’s what this set includes:
- it will be a 3-disc DVD set
- Episodes will be shown unrated as the default, but you can also get the watered down version if you really want to
- Price will be around $40.00 (pre-order it for $25.99)
- Audio commentary and a Comic-Con featurette are among the supplementary materials
- First episode will be “Back to the Woods“, going right up to Family Guy Season Seven with “Ocean’s Three and a Half“. No word so far on whether more Season 7 episodes will be included.

Family Guy one of the most downloaded torrents on the Web

One of my favorite sites on the Web, TorrentFreak, has released a great list of the most downloaded shows this past week, and Family Guy was third on the list.
