The Parents Television Council is calling for Microsoft to cut all ties – meaning, advertising during the time it’s on – with Family Guy. Here’s more information on what the PTC is asking for:

Well, it was a first for Alex Borstein and Seth MacFarlane this Sunday night – a live (almost) comedy show that was highly anticipated ever since Microsoft famously backed out. What did you think? Highlights:

the whole Marlee Matlin thing (”and the phone kept ringing and ringing and ringing”)

LOVED the nightclub set, very 1940’s

screen tests (the Bea Arthur one was fantastic)

Well, since Microsoft decided to jump ship on using Family Guy to drum up excitement for Windows 7 (more on that here and here), Sherlock Holmes – the movie – has decided to step in.

Seems that Warner Brothers, the company behind the new Sherlock Holmes movie, will replace Microsoft as sponsor of the Nov. 8 special, Family Guy Presents: Seth & Alex’s Almost Live Comedy Show, according to Adweek.

This is actually from May, but I don’t think it’s been posted. Highlights: Seth got an angry phone call from Ellen Cleghorne for a joke, his old school principal tried to get Family Guy off the air, he wants to open up a coffee shop when he grows up (yeah right), he goes over his 9/11 story, how FG is NOT vanilla, he wants to offend everyone so nobody feels left out, religious figures are the ones most offended (which motivates him to do more), the “Freakin Sweet” show with Alex Borstein, and a bit of inane chatter. Watch:

I think Seth MacFarlane is determined to get Family Guy firmly back on track after Season 7’s dismal showing, because Family Goy was pretty dang good.

Highlights:
