Holy Freakin’ Crap! I just heard on the news that Family Guy, one of the most popular shows on the Fox network, has been cancelled AGAIN by the evil Fox overlords. What the HELL are they thinking? Here’s more information:

“Family Guy, the outrageous Fox cartoon that was canceled for the first time in 2002, will end production next month with 35 new episodes to premiere early next year on Cartoon Network and possibly on Fox in May sweeps. This cancellation comes as a surprise to everyone on the Family Guy team, most notably series creator Seth MacFarlane:

“I know we’ve had problems, especially during the writer’s strike, but I thought we had worked them out. Apparently not.”

What do you think of this? Should we start a petition or something? I can’t believe that they cancelled it again!

When a flood hits Quahog, Meg winds up in the hospital in a coma, but she wakes up to a cute med student and they immediately hit it off. After Meg recovers, Peter is very protective of her, so he drives “McCutie” away. But when Meg reveals to the family that she is pregnant, Peter forces them to get married in the “Peter’s Daughter” episode of FAMILY GUY airing Sunday, March 30 (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

Peter decides to grow a moustache, but then he’s mistaken for a fireman (because they all have moustaches), so he lends a hand when a fire breaks out at a local fast food restaurant. The owner gives him unlimited burgers as a “thank you,” but Peter eats so many that he eventually has a stroke. When Peter recovers, he vows to expose the fast-food company and becomes friends with a genetically engineered cow (Montalban) he meets after infiltrating the McBurgertown warehouse on the “McStroke” episode of FAMILY GUY airing Sunday, March 9 (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT) on FOX. • There’s a flash flood and Meg gets her shirt snagged on the fridge while fixing Peter a sandwich underwater. Peter goes in and saves her, she’s in a coma, and the family experiences a collective change of heart towards her (well, except for Stewie).

• Meg and a young medical student hit it off, she starts dating him but Peter is fiercely overprotective. She tearfully informs the family that she’s pregnant, and Peter gets his shotgun out.
• Wedding prep, Meg FINALLY tells young man that she’s not pregnant, he runs away.
• There were some really outdated references to New Orleans and Hurricane Katrina at the beginning of the story; uh, hello? Two years ago called, they want their timeliness back.
• Boring side plot with Brian and Stewie renovating an old house but it got good when we got to see the house blow up again and again. That was a nice touch.
• Sick point: the whole hanger thing (come on, Seth).
• Best line: “My daughter’s womb is not a wildfire for you to douse with your adolescent seed.” I LOL’ed at that one, except wouldn’t he be technically in his twenties?

I loved the Conway Twitty ending; very well done. Okay, clips:
