When Comic Book Guy casts Homer as the lead in “Everyman,” a feature film based on a new comic book superhero who possesses the ability to absorb the superpowers of every super hero in every comic he touches. To whip Homer into superhero shape, the movie studio hires celebrity fitness trainer Lyle McCarthy (guest voice Rogen), but Homer has trouble sticking to his new healthy regimen in the “Homer The Whopper” episode of THE SIMPSONS airing Sunday, Nov. 22 (7:30-8:00 PM ET/ PT) on FOX. Fed up with Bart’s constant pranks, Principal Skinner tells Bart that there is a former Springfield Elementary student hailed as the best prankster ever – even better than Bart – but he won’t divulge the legendary student’s name. Bart finally gets Groundskeeper Willie to reveal the prankster’s identity: Andy Hamilton (guest voice Jonah Hill). Bart tracks down Andy, who is now 19 years old and hasn’t grown out of his pranking days. Bart and Andy become fast friends until Bart gets Andy a job working for the ultimate clown in the all-new “Pranks and Greens” episode of THE SIMPSONS airing Sunday, Nov. 22 (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Cleveland Show

Cleveland celebrates his first Thanksgiving with his new family, including his own parents Cookie (guest voice Francis Callier) and Freight Train (guest voice Craig Robinson) as well as Donna’s Auntie Momma (guest voice Kym Whitley) who all make a surprise visit to shake things up in Stoolbend. However, the holiday gets complicated when Roberta and Federline (guest voice Jamie Kennedy) decide to celebrate on their own, and Cleveland discovers a surprising secret about Auntie Momma that changes his impression of her forever in the all-new “A Brown Thanksgiving” episode of THE CLEVELAND SHOW airing Sunday, Nov. 22 (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Recap of American Dad “Shallow Vows”

Okay, I don’t usually enjoy American Dad too much but this episode was MADE of awesome. Highlights:

What the HELL was up with Francine’s “beauty regimen”?!?!? Lifting a couch for ab work? OMG!
Stan burning out his retinas in order to be a better husband…why don’t more guys do that
The “wedding planner”…seriously funny

I enjoyed how this episode actually explored a relationship and made some valid points, I learned somethin’! Knowledge is power, don’t you know. Solid American Dad episode, they just seem to keep getting better and better this season.

November 8 recap: American Dad, Family Guy, The Cleveland Show

Last night was pretty much a Seth Sweep on Fox. Let’s get right to it:

American Dad, “Man in the Moonbounce”:

Good. American Dad is getting better every week, while Family Guy, while better than last season’s dismal showing, is still sputtering. Here’s a clip:

Father-Son Egging

Family Guy, “Brian’s Got a Brand New Bag”:

Why, Meg has an evil monkey too!?!? Miley Cyrus robot was good, too. I couldn’t find any clips up, but I’ll post them as I get them

Family Guy, “Quagmire’s Baby”:

VERY good! No clips up for this one up as yet, but the whole Stewie interaction with his evil clone was priceless.

The Cleveland Show, “Cleveland Jr. Cherry Bomb”:

I didn’t catch this one, actually, but here’s a clip: Cleveland Junior’s Cherry Bomb. If you watched it, what did you think?

Overall, a pretty good night for Fox Animation and Seth MacFarlane.

Seth MacFarlane’s animation trifecta get the greenlight for another season

Yes, it’s early in the season, but since animated programs take forever and a day to get taken care of, Fox needed to renew them way ahead of time so animators get what they need to get done, done.
