I’ve got the first nibble on Family Guy Season 8 episodes from TV.com; we won’t know if these are definite until we hear officially from Fox.

Family Guy strikes a distribution deal with MySpace

This just in: Twentieth Century Fox has nailed down a freakin’ sweet distribution deal with MySpace, the social networking community. Here’s the official information:

The Family Guy community page will initially host 150 clips, with 20 being added each month for the next six months. Fox hopes users will distribute the content by posting videos on their own pages.

Additional features include a customisable profile, where users can give their profile a Family Guy design, and a voting system to determine which MySpace member is Fan of the Month.

Robot Chicken on Wheels Tour - find out if it’s coming to your town!

The Robot Chicken boys - Seth Green (voice and writer on Family Guy), Matthew Senreich and Breckin Meyer are taking it on the road to promote the show. They will start in San Diego to help kick off Comic-Con International ‘09, and end up in New York City, spanning nearly three weeks and over three thousand miles. Here are the cities in which they will be appearing:

Pilot of The Cleveland Show - LEAKED!

Okay, so the first episode of The Cleveland Show has been leaked. You can watch it here. Here’s my notes on the episode:

- Cleveland cries to guys about losing house

- Kathleen Turner cutaway

- Bathroom scene with Cleveland Jr. on the toilet talking to Cleveland in the tub

- Peter launches rocket into house, Cleveland falls out in his tub

- Cleveland calls meeting of neighbors, says his family is moving

- inside joke at three different Family Guy episodes

- Lois and Bonnie kiss for Cleveland’s last request, and they kind of really get into it - husbands watching on the couch

- Stewie says “Goodbye chocolate people”, so does Joe

- At first, the Brown family is moving to California so Cleveland can be a minor league baseball coach

- They drive to Stoolbend, Virginia first, so Cleveland Jr. can see dad’s home town

- Visit to Stoolbend High School, and Cleveland runs into Donna, his high school sweetheart

- Flashback to their semi-date, where Cleveland almost says “I love you”

- Donna offers her spare room for the Brown family

- First look at white trash neighbors, they’re protective of Donna and the “two black guys” that are in her driveway

So, it had a few funny moments, but nothing really THAT funny. It felt more like a typical sitcom than a Seth MacFarlane vehicle. I think that this show has about six episodes to really crank it up before it gets cancelled.

This Sunday, July 5, we’ll be getting “Peter’s Progress”, one of the better episodes from Family Guy Season 7. Here’s the synopsis:

Peter has his palm read by a psychic who reveals that he had a fascinating past life as Griffin Peterson, a dignified gentleman who vied for the love of Lady Redbush in 17th century England and in the newly founded American colony of Quahog. It was a time of great love and adventure where King Stewart reigned supreme, the smartest dog in the room was the court jester, army lieutenants were merely boys and even old England loved “How I Met Your Mother” (Jason Segel, Neil Patrick Harris and Josh Radnor guest-voice) in the “Peter’s Progress” episode of FAMILY GUY airing Sunday, July 5 (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Family Guy Season 1, Episode 6: The Son Also Draws

Family Guy Season 1, Episode 6 is titled “The Son Also Draws”, and is absolutely one of my favorite Family Guy episodes of all time. In this episode, we watch Peter take the family to New York to get Chris into the Youth Scouts after he is kicked out. Peter makes a pit stop at an Indian casino, Lois develops a gambling habit that costs her the family car, and Peter must go on a vision quest to prove his Native American blood and get it back.

Season 1, Episode 5: A Hero Sits Next Door

In Family Guy Season 1, Episode 5, “A Hero Sits Next Door”, we watch Peter get initially annoyed when Joe Swanson moves to Quahog, Rhode Island from Providence, Rhode Island and is forced to recruit him for his company’s softball team after Mr. Weed’s star pitcher is injured. This is Peter’s big chance to do what he does best - be incredibly inappropriate - and boy, does he ever, stating “Holy crip, he’s a crapple!” Peter decides he wants to be a hero like Joe and tries to stop a bank robbery, this of course does not work out for him and he and Brian get taken hostage - and Joe has to save them.
