Four Microsoft and Family Guy clips are released
December 2, 2009 by Wendy Boswell
This whole thing has been pretty confusing. First, Microsoft backed out from sponsoring Family Guy (Microsoft has backed out on Seth MacFarlane comedy special), then Sherlock Holmes saved the day (Sherlock Holmes fills Family Guy gap left by Microsoft), then we saw a few Windows 7 clips even though Microsoft supposed nixed the whole thing (Did Microsoft decide to go with Family Guy after all?).
Today four clips have been released that were the original four that were going to be featured in the Almost Live Comedy Show. None of them are true FG material, mostly because they had to follow company guidelines, I’m guessing. However, it would have been so much funnier if Microsoft had told Seth MacFarlane to just completely go nuts, criticize Microsoft and Windows 7 as much as he wanted, and let the fans make up their minds. I bet you anything Microsoft would have gotten some pretty serious respect for that (which would start to make up for the Vista fiasco). Here are the clips:
