Family Guy mistakes…yes, there are a few!
January 13, 2009 by Wendy Boswell
The final screen of end credits for each episode contains a standard disclaimer about all characters being fictitious. In the second season episodes, this is misspelled “ficticious”.
The most frequent animation error seen in the show is the appearance of the eyebrows (and some cases the eyes). The eyebrows are known to disappear and/or reappear at times, or in rare cases even “duplicate”, creating an extra pair of eyebrows (as seen on Lois’ father when Peter meets him in “Death Lives“).
When Lois is in jail following her stealing spree, she’s wearing her standard yellow prison garb. When Peter sticks her in his mouth to smuggle her out, she’s back to her normal clothes.
When Joe discovers the Griffins hiding out in Asiantown, Peter switches between his sumo outfit and his regular clothes.
In “No Chris Left Behind“, the Morningwood Academy sign has “NO IRISH” crossed out and “IRISH OK” written under it. The next time we see the sign, there is no trace whatsoever of either line of the Irish text.
In certain episodes, the floor in the upstairs hallway changes from hardwood, to carpet, then back again.
Have you seen any Family Guy mistakes? Let us know about them here!

In the episode Lethal Weapons, when Chris is talking about his leaves they are red and yellow, but when Meg picks them up and destroys them they are both red.
In “Stewie Kills Lois” when Stewie shoots Lois, the bullets clearly go through her body. When she falls over the ship, you can see holes in her back, but they’re gone in the next shot.
@Ian – Ha, i thought you were joking when i first started reading it
Not a mistake, but I noticed that the episode “Stewie Kills Lois” Part One has changed in some syndication reruns. The one-armed abortionist joke has been shortened and when Meg says she’s gonna treat the package of hot dogs like the New York Knicks, she’s standing in the hall rather than sitting on her bed as in the original episode. Anybody notice other changes?
Hiya….I think I saw a mistake, but not sure. It may have been changed on purpose.
A repeat is running tonight, Season 4. “8 Simple Rules of Buying My Daughter”. In the begining, Meg is talking about how she’s tried to discourage the nerd from liking her.
The scene cuts to a scene from “Everybody Loves Raymond” and Ray and his wife are talking. Meg walks in and blasts Neil. Ray’s wife starts to talk again, and Ray replies with “I don’t care Patty….” but on the show, Ray’s wife is Debra.
Was this a mistake, or done on purpose?

When loading the Couch on the Millennium falcon, the laser blasts from the Stormtroopers are moving left to right, when they should move right to left.
