Interview with writer of “Something, Something, Something Darkside”

There’s a great interview with Kirker Butler, one of the writers responsible for the Family Guy Empire Strikes Back parody, over at GalacticBinder. You can read it here: Kirker Butler Interview. Here’s some information about who and what we’ll be seeing in this parody:

• Lando will be played by Mort Goldman.
• Tom and Diane survived the attack on the Death Star and are now working happily for Channel 5, Cloud City.
• Ernie the Giant Chicken will play Boba Fett, and the Slave 1 will actually have chicken wings.
• Chewie/Brian traded the couch for a handful of psychedelic mushrooms in the Mos Eisley cantina.
• Carrie Fisher might be making a cameo.
• This episode is tentatively scheduled to air Spring 2009, but there is a chance it might show up on DVD first.
